Note: Britain did not come into being until after AD 1603 (ratified into law 1707). Before that date Scotland was a separate kingdom. Once united with England it suffered deprivation, land enclosure, banning of national dress, persecution and exploitation.

People of Glasgow are so mired in poverty, negativity and depression that they cannot see the way forward for Scotland, and even the hope of a better future does not inspire them. People in this condition, if they vote at all, are inclined to vote Labour.
