Why does "Independence Cymru" say that, under the circumstances of the election, The Liberal Conservative Coalition is a Good Thing?
It is because the great majority of the Scottish and Welsh electorate are left of centre and in contrast to England they voted in general for radical and progressive policies, and this alienation from the "national" trend increases greatly the prospect of a "Yes" vote in the referenda for a Welsh Parliament and Scottish Independence.

So you see a yes to more powers as taking us closer to independence?
No Anonymous. If you read what Alan says properly no where does he say that.
He said: and this alienation from the "national" trend increases greatly the prospect of a "Yes" vote in the referenda for a Welsh Parliament and Scottish Independence.
Saying a "Yes" vote for a Welsh Parliament is not the same as saying Independence for Wales. The Independence bit was in reference to Scotland, if you read it.
So the fact he mentions them in the same breath and that is his final aim is irrelevant. I believe you, honest.
Wonder if the electorate will?
In all honesty Anonymous, I support eventual independence for Wales, as every people and nation on this planet has a god given right to self- determination and freedom. Being ruled from a larger, more dominant neighbor is unnatural.
There can be no peace on Earth until everyone is free and able to choose for themselves if they wish to unite with the rest of Humanity, and not have the decisions made for them. Just my 2 pence worth.
