It takes an election to get government ministers to wake up and get out of their seats. After 13 years of misrule and disastrous policies they are beginning to produce long-delayed proposals for change and make promises for future improvements in society, but with the election weeks away is it too late? Can they be believed? The public consensus must be that they cannot and that it is too late. They should be judged on their record, not on empty promises and filched ideas.
