Heraldic Overtones

Very pretty indeed, but what does it represent, an olive branch to Cymru?
And are the thistle, shamrock and rose meant to represent our sister nations,
or are they the dependendant nations of a British state?

  1. Another inconsistency (from your last post)

Scotland has the Lord Lyon. The rest of the UK + CI & IOM have to follow the English College of Arms.

The Lord Lyon is now a highly anglicised body, although it originates with the Ollamh Righ.
