"The Nineteenth century saw a great Springtime of Nations as the revolutions of 1848 saw new countries created the length and breadth of Europe. In our world today we are now seeing our own Spring Awakening with people and cultures that have long been dormant and subdued asserting their right to exist, their right to dream." Adam Price MP

THE FALLACY OF "BRITISHNESS"
In his speech at the Labour Party Conference Gordon Brown mentioned "Britishness" 71 times. Just what is he trying to prove? It appears that Gordon Brown is now playing down the issue of devolution and keeping silent on the subject. I wonder why?
I think he is trying to prove that England doesn't mind being ruled by Scots. And that were Britain to break up it would mean perpetual Conservative governemnt for England.
But then as someone who voted for a Welsh parliament, I see this as a good thing.
But then Labour is not good at dealing with the reality of life in the British Isle:

But very good about protecting their own interests.
